Another piece from the ancient Acheilidh railway line fence posts. "The March Fence"
"March" being the ancient word for boundary/frontier, tract of (often disputed) land between two countries.
My border or frame is from bogwood. Ready for auction at Frasers auction house Dingwall 10th May.

Starting The Day
Just when you think it cannot get any better. It does. And then.
From time to time we experience pleasure, that magical moment when time stands still.
Endorphins running riot around the mind.
Crystal clear. The sound of crunching snow.
The start of the day.
Brings things into perspective. Almost.
Forgiveness.........

Sandy Beach
My neighbour (Derek) gave me a trailer load of old fence posts. Amongst them are some real beauties. They are probably about 120+ years old. The grain is amazing. This is a vertical section approx 1/2" depth and 6" x 7". I saw the beach and the headland immediately. With my pyrographic burner I enhanced the scene. After much deliberation, cutting a bit here and a bit there, attempting to create a piece of driftwood, I gave up. Walking the beach at Littleferry, Golspie I found a piece of driftwood and slapped bits of it on as a frame.
Here is the Sandy Beach.

East Langwell Looking West
Emerging from the shadows of East Langwell looking towards West Langwell and the west coast mountains. Early January 2019 promises a turbulent year with political upheaval and uncertainty. Having recovered from the hog-many hangover(s) - really? - This image gives me clarity and optimism, plus of course it's always good to be heading home.
